Welcome & Introductions
Thanks to Christina for hosting auditions and to Annemarie for hosting festival.
Financial Report
• 2003 Festival had a profit of $204.87.
• $180 per year now being allocated for office expenses (Steffen’s Festival Office account)
Auditions 2004
• There were concerns about the inconsistencies in the adjudication guidelines between the website and the information shared with adjudicators as well as in some adjudicators’ behavior during the auditions.
• The scale requirements will be brought in line with the All State requirements at MM=88 as a minimum
• Adjudicators will attend a training session prior to auditions in the future
• The 2004 Audition List was reviewed and will be used as is in the rotation.
Festival 2004
• Annemarie and her crew are doing a great job of hosting the event !
• Both conductors (Dr. Gary Corcoran and Marc Whitman) are pleased with the students efforts.
Auditions 2005
• The scale articulation requirement will be changed to match the All State requirement (as above).
• The 2005 list was reviewed and will be used as is in the rotation.
• There will be a pre-audition meeting of adjudicators to go over the adjudication form and other requirements to make sure that all are consistent and following the festival’s audition procedures
Festival 2005
• Auditions Wednesday, October 5th Colchester High (Annemarie Edmonds)
• Festival Friday & Saturday, November 4th & 5th either CVU (Andrew Miskavage) or Essex (Gary Dean)
• Managers Wind Ensemble: Annemarie Edmonds, Concert Band: either Andrew Miskavage or Gary Dean (whichever doesn’t host) String Ensemble: Jessica Nickel
